CHAG like many other faith-based organisations around the world faces many challenges, prominent among these are:
- Because the mission health care services are located
in deprived areas, with few socio-economic amenities, health professionals
are often unwilling to work in health institutions and programs.
There is therefore a chronic shortage of skilled trained health
staff. The inadequacy have considerably
affected the quality of service provided to clients.
- The Home Based care program for HIV/PLWHA could not also be expanded and scaled up.
- The youth friendly services also could not be scaled up because of the African Youth Alliance (AYA) program coming to an end.
- Equitable allocation and distribution of resources in the health sector continues to be a problem that affects the delivery of health services by member institutions.
- CHAG is working hard with its counterparts in the GHS and other agencies to find a lasting solution to the problems of recruitment, replacement and post-basic training of health staff.
